This talk was a similar version to the one that I gave with my colleague Anne-Marie Scott at LSE on 06 December 2017 (see this post), so I won’t bore you with more slides here. This talk was given as part of the CRLI Research Centre seminar series at the University of Sydney before the 8th International Conference on Learning Analytics Research and Knowledge (LAK’18). I wanted to mention this talk to mark this rare heavy snow that we had in the UK back in March 2018. The snow was so heavy that schools and universities were closed for days. Lots of flights were cancelled. Several people who tried to fly to Sydney to attend LAK’18 ended up having the most complicated trip routes ever. I was lucky that I left early enough for this talk that the snow only delayed my flight. However, due to this delay, I had to spend one night in Doha, and only just managed to arrive in Sydney a couple of hours before my talk. So here is a video of me talking gibberish in jetlag…
